  Part 6 | Chapter 31 Tutorial Home
How is the structure of the plant body related to its many functions?
Screen 3 of 3

Plants are composed of roots, stems, and leaves. The tissue systems (dermal, ground, and vascular) are continuous throughout the plant, and the functions of the different organs are interconnected.

Understanding plant structure and function requires the study of each organ and the tissue systems in a coordinated way.
