FURTHER SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY
Experimental or observational
results that support the hypothesis might suggest
other questions. Additional questions could lead
to other related hypotheses, predictions, experiments,
results, and even more extended questions. Results
that do not support the hypothesis show that the
hypothesis should be discarded and another testable
hypothesis should be developed.
Either way, any further scientific inquiry will
use the same basic steps of the scientific method:
Make observations
Ask critical questions
Create hypothesis
Make prediction
Experiment
Analyze results
Draw conclusions
